Local Area Plan
Following the adoption of Variation No. 34, which rezoned over 360 acres in Donabate for housing, Fingal County Council started to prepare a Local Area Plan for Donabate by holding two public consultation meetings in Donabate-Portrane Community Club.
Fingal County Council’s notice of the meetings listed the key issues as housing density, movement system for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, provision of open space and local facilities.
At the meetings, residents raised schools (especially second level), transport, footpaths, road safety, youth facilities and a Garda presence as their main worries.
Submissions must be made in writing or by e-mail to Fingal County Council by 9th December.
