For National Heritage Week, there will be a guided walk around the Donabate & Portrane peninsula on Sunday 2nd September.
Meeting point is the Donabate Train Station Car Park at 12 NOON.
Its about 6 kilometers and takes about 4 hours. We will walk from Donabate Village to Portrane Village via the Woods of St Ita'a and then along the Cliff Walk to Donabate Strand.
We'll finish at the Waterside Hotel for a cup of tea and sandwiches.
Bring the kids and your weather gear, just in case.

Donabate Basketball Compete in Community Games.

On Tuesday and Wednesday 27th & 28th March our boys and girls took part in the Dublin Community Games, Under 16 Basketball Event.

Our teams played in the Croke Park of Irish Basketball, the National Basketball Arena.

They performed heroically against far stronger opposition as most of our players were 13 and 14 years of age.

They also played in a good and fair Donabate spirit and represented the community fantastically!!!

Special thanks to the parents who came along on the night.

The young men and woman of Donabate and Portrane can be very proud of their achievements in the basketball arena.
