The Donabate Local Area plan is being prepared by Fingal County Council. It will then go on public display.

===========================================

Report from Fingal Independent, Friday 21st October 2005:
Transport assessment of the Donabate action plan area is underway prior to the formation of a local area plan (L.A.P.) for the village, the council has said.
Last year it was agreed to rezone nearly 350 acres of privately-owned land in the Donabate are for residential development.
This will see the population of the village jump threefold from an existing 7,000 to somewhere between 21,500 and 26,000.
The draft L.A.P. together with the associated strategic environmental assessment (S.E.A.) is currently being prepared by consultants.
A number of studies are ongoing which will feed into this plan, including an ecological assessment, archaeological impact study, transportation study and surface water study of the area.
The formulation of the optimum development strategy for the area is dependent on the results of these various studies.
Fingal County Council said that as soon as is possible, the draft plan and the S.E.A. will be presented to councillors before going on public display.
